We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to support a Deafblind lady who will soon be moving into her new home in the Greenford area of London.

She is a very social and active person who enjoys good conversations, going for walks, reading books and watching TV. Keeping active is important to her, and she particularly enjoys going to the gym and boxing.

We are looking for someone who can build a positive and trusting relationship with her, support her independence and help her continue enjoying an active and fulfilling life in the community.

We’re looking for someone who is:

* Compassionate, patient and supportive

* Friendly, sociable and comfortable engaging in conversation

* Positive about promoting independence and choice

* Happy to support an active lifestyle, including walks, gym sessions and community activities

* Willing to learn and use Deafblind Manual communication

Experience of Deafblind Manual would be an advantage, but training will be provided to the right person.

This is more than providing support – it is about enabling someone to live independently, stay connected, pursue the activities she enjoys and make her new home in London a success.
